Videography

Projects mostly inspired by the landscape and scenery of Connemara, Ireland. Videos are shot using a hand held Canon M50, a GoPro Hero 7 and a DJI Mavic Air 2

Real Estate Video

Showcase your home from a never before scene angle. Professionally produced videos that capture the dynamic landscape and scenery that are not readily available through traditional style photography. Videos are colour corrected and sound designed to suit the clients needs.

AG Sports

I was tasked with making a product video to help launch the AG Sports brand. I wanted to keep the brand front and centre while also keeping the video fast paced and dynamic as is accustomed to the game of hurling.

Toys.io

A collaborative project that myself and another classmate worked on in college. We were tasked with designing a video to complement a project for a software design module. The aim of the video was to create a pitch deck style video to showcase the product that was being created. We decided on using animation as the product in question was geared towards children.

This Is Home

This Is Home was inspired from a conversation had with an old relative who Emigrated from Ireland in the sixties and never got the opportunity to return. When asked did she ever miss home she replied “sure how could I? Don’t I go home every night I go to sleep”.  People who have had to emigrate continue to live so much with a consciousness of their home, that place, that landscape, those people, their doings, in their memory. I aimed to represent this emotion and memory through video.

In accordance this I also wanted to try and represent Connemara from a different perspective. We’ve all seen those beautiful panoramic 4k drone shots set to traditional Irish music of the mountains and the oceans. Don’t get me wrong, I find these these stunning to look at but I feel like once I’ve seen one I’ve seen them all. They lack the emotion that I wanted to try and convey and I feel that they struggle to fully grasp the users attention. Therefore I chose to make a different style of video as opposed to what’s generally out there. This included a more upbeat music choice, fast paced shots, creative transitions and speed ramping.

The result was almost like a travel-log style video, showing Connemara through the eyes of a memory. This was my first film so I learned loads a long the way. Feel free to comment and critique but I feel like this is the start of things to come.

Diamond Morning

Sometimes you just feel inspired.

I sleep most night with my curtains drawn. This particular morning I was woken by a blast of sun streaming in through my window. I grabbed my camera and headed straight for Diamond Hill. The result was one of my favourite hikes ever.

By The Sea Holidays

“Make us something different. We do not sweeping landscape shots of Connemara, we want people to be excited to come here.“

That was the remit. The challenge was to make such a video in the timeframe allotted considering the weather that the West Coast of Ireland normally throws up during later ‘summer’ and early Autumn. However, through a lot of early mornings chasing sunrises, and convincing friends and family to take a tip into 12 degree water we were able to come up with a production that By The Sea Holidays were extremely satisfied with.

Quite a number of new editing techniques were explored in the making of this video, most notable a more in depth discovery of sound design and transitions.
